TIM DRY - PERFORMANCE CV

Trained in Corporeal Mime (Decroux technique) for four years from 1976 with Desmond Jones.

Workshops in Physical Theatre with Lindsay Kemp (tutor to David Bowie and Kate Bush) and Theatre Du Movement.

Acting tuition in the Stanislavski method with various tutors.

1978 - Formed a mime company named ‘Silents’ with Desmond Jones and others. Performed two years running at the International Mime Festival at the Cockpit Theatre in London, as well as shows at the Arts Theatre, Battersea Arts Centre, and Theatre Space etc.

1979 - Appeared as a mime on the children’s TV shows “Rainbow” and “We’ll Tell You A Story.”

1979 - Joined a mime/music/dance/theatre group called ‘Shock’ in 1979. Performed extensively in the UK, New York, Europe and Thailand. TV appearances include “The Oxford Roadshow”, “White Light”, “Southeast At 6” etc.

1980 - Created a robotic mime/ music duo called TIK & TOK. Performed live all over the UK and released 5 singles and an album. Appeared on 23 TV shows, including “The Royal Variety Performance” in 1983 (in front of HRH Queen Elizabeth), “The Leo Sayer Show” and “The Tube”. Supported pop stars such as Gary Numan, Duran Duran and Ultravox.

1983 - ‘The Alien’ - ‘XTRO’. Film.

1989 - 1992 - Leads in Berkoff’s ‘Harry’s Christmas’, Kevin Laffan’s ‘Adam Redundant’ and Moliere’s ‘School For Wives’. Stage Plays.

1987 to 2003 - Featured artiste in over 90 TV Commercials in the UK, Europe and the USA.

1991 - ‘The Bill’ – Episode ‘Targets’. TV. Reporter.

1992 - ‘Lenny Henry In Dreams’. TV. Mime Artist/Betting Clerk.

1993 - Steven Berkoff’s ‘Decadence’. Film. Entourage 7.

1997 – Co-presenter – ‘Feast’. Channel 4 TV series. Co-composer of theme music.
